Xavier University students develop database system for Jesuit mission schools
Computer science students at Xavier-Ateneo University in Cagayan developed automated systems for three Jesuit mission schools.
Students developed “unique and creative approaches” to manage the registration system, registrar’s database system, and library management system to improve consistency of query results, collection and management. Datas.
The systems will be used by the Pangantucan Community High School, Fr. École Leoni Memorial and École Sainte-Thérèse de Miarayon.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a change in the educational method of the university which includes the provision of service learning,” the university said.
The Flexible e-Service Learning approach was adopted to “ensure the safety of students while fulfilling the academic and social training mission of the university” and to “use their acquired knowledge and skills to meet the needs of the communities”.
